ECC24 to feature Prof. Michael I. Jordan, University of California, Berkeley

Anticipation builds as the 22nd European Control Conference (ECC) gears to host renowned scholar Michael I. Jordan’s talk on Statistical Contract Theory. Scheduled for June 25-28, 2024, in Stockholm, ECC24 promises to be a convergence of cutting-edge research and industry insights in the field of automatic control.

Michael I. Jordan, the esteemed Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, will, in his talk, clarify the complexities of contract theory and their implications for modern economic transactions. Prof. Jordan has been named the “most influential computer scientist” worldwide in an article in Science, based on rankings from the Semantic Scholar search engine.

Joining the lineup of distinguished speakers are prominent figures in the field of automatic control: Ambra SanninoMaryam Kamgarpour, Alessandro Chiuso, Giulia Giordano, Tryphon Georgiou, Gabriela Hug, Claudio de Persis, and Martina Maggio. Their diverse expertise spans control theory, power grid efficiency, optimization, machine learning, and more, promising various insights and perspectives at ECC24.

Since 2013, the European Control Conference (ECC) has been held annually under the auspices of the European Control Association (EUCA). The conference aims to bring together academic and industrial professionals in systems and control and promote scientific cooperation and exchanges within the European Union and between Europe and other parts of the World. The conference will be hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and co-sponsored by Digital Futures.
