Ebru Susur

Ebru Susur is an Assistant Professor in Innovation Studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Dr Susur received her PhD in Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and in Industrial Management from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Her research interests are innovation management, transitions, experimentation, entrepreneurship and business models for sustainability, circular economy, and digitalization.

Dr Susur explores and works with different theoretical and methodological approaches to understand and explain complex phenomena by adopting critical and reflexive perspectives at the system and enterprise levels.

Besides her academic experience, she undertook various international projects in multi-national teams. She has worked as a qualified consultant and engineer on European Union environmental approximation studies and sustainable management for more than 6 years. Throughout these projects, she accumulated professional experience in project management, business development, environmental legislation, and institutional capacity building. Most of these projects were executed within international consortiums under the supervision and management of international agencies such as the European Union and the World Bank. Currently, she is a senior consultant for Agence Française de Développement.

This scholar period will provide opportunities for publications, guest lectures and seminars, curriculum development of courses and modules, event organisation (workshops, panel discussions, roundtables), PhD and Post-doctoral mentorship (networking and career guidance).
