Workshop 11 October: Machine learning in biology and medicine – registration is open!

The workshop Machine learning in biology and medicine is organized by Aristides Gionis – Professor, Division of Theoretical Computer Science at KTH and Jens Lagergren – Professor, Division of Computational Science and Technology at KTH and SciLifeLab. It aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on machine learning methods and applications to biology, medicine, and healthcare.

The program features keynote speeches of four forefront researchers in the area while providing a platform for exchanging ideas, learning about relevant problems and solutions, and enabling new collaborations.

  • Ben Raphael – Professor of Computer Science, Princeton University
  • Ewa Szczurek – Associate professor University of Warsaw Faculty of Mathematics Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw
  • Artemis Hatzigeorgiou – Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics University of Thessaly, Greece and Hellenic Pasteur Institute
  • Tero Aittokallio – PhD, Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki, Finland, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital, and Professor Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology, University of Oslo, Norway.

We welcome participants from academia, industry, or the public sector who are broadly interested in the topic of machine learning and its applications to biology, medicine, and healthcare. Join us on 11 October 2022, 12:00 – 17:00 at the Digital Futures hub. Participants need to register latest 4 October!

A maximum of 50 participants are onsite at the Digital Futures hub. First-come, first-served basis.
